A lot of planning goes into putting together a trip which is something some enjoy more than others. However, to ensure you get the most out of your trip, it’s essential that you pay attention to seemingly insignificant details such as what items you bring along with you.
Here, we share 5 travel items everyone forgets.
1: Memory cards – this is the digital age which means taking gadgets with you on your travels is essential. Don’t forget to add your camera and memory cards to your packing list. This is especially a must if you’ll be going to blissful destinations like the Scottish Highlands – a place where it’s even more beautiful when it rains.
2: First aid kit– although nobody hopes to find themselves injured when they travel, it’s sometimes unavoidable. You should pack a small first aid kit along with you with all the basics. This includes plasters, gauze, small scissors, tweezers, antiseptic wipes and surgical tapes to mention a few.
You never know when you’ll need a plaster or pain medication! Keep a small kit handy as it can be hard to find the right products abroad.
3: Power chords – it’s so easy to remember your gadgets but many forget the cords that charge them. To be on the safe side, it may be a good idea to pack extras so you’re never left without power. Also, don’t forget to carry along a universal adaptor in case the charging point is different.
4: Sunscreen – it’s important to remember that sunscreen should always be applied – in the sunshine or not. Don’t forget to pack a bottle with SPF of at least 30 for best coverage. To prevent spillage while you’re on the move, put Sellotape over the lid to seal it tight.
Lather up! The last thing you want to ruin your vacation is a painful sunburn.
5: ID – taking along your passport is a no brainer for overseas travel, but always remember to pack additional ID for back up. To keep things in check, get an organised travel wallet for bank cards, travel tickets and ID.
