Ahh, Burns Night.
It’s got a bit of a reputation of being a chance to get legless whilst reciting some dodgy poetry. And, for some that is Burn’s the Night.
Except- that’s not the case.
Scotland, being the home of Robert Burns does Burns Night better.
Traditionally one of Burn’s poems is recited before you sit down to eat haggis neeps and tatties for dinner.
But – why not take it up a notch if you’re visiting Scotland in January and go out for dinner on the 25th?
So many great restaurants do a wonderful Burns night menu.
For example, the Scotsman Hotel (fully booked for the 25th, but at time of writing they are still taking bookings for the 24th and 26th)
Amber– the fabulous restaurant in the Scottish Whisky centre has some of the very best dining in Edinburgh I know you’re drooling after reading that menu.
Or why not Earthy at Canonmills for a Burns Night Supper with a twist?
Angels and Bagpipes also have a Burns Supper
A Burns supper doesn’t have to be a fancy affair- but it is so much more fun when it is!
Are you having your own Burns supper this year? Do you need a recipe?
Or are you needing a little help with booking something nice on in Scotland?
