Private Whisky Distilleries Day Trip

Scotland is serious about its scotch, but like a dialect, each region takes pride in its own distinct method of steering the barley-to-dram process. Naturally, and with 120 active distilleries, this variation creates some very unique flavours; this ode to whisky craft sets out to taste them all!

This is a typical itinerary for our Private Whisky Distilleries Day Trip

Just A Wee Dram
With a population of 5.3 million people, Scotland has an impressive store of around 20 million barrels of whisky; measuring about 4 barrels for every Scot! It’s certainly no secret that the Scots are master whisky makers, it’s a very serious business for us. It’s a billion-pound industry, and the production of Scottish whisky alone accounts for a staggering 20% of food and drink exports from the UK. There are around 120 active distilleries across Scotland, all split into 5 designated regions: Campbeltown, Highland, Islay, Lowland and Speyside. Each region has its own distinct method of production, and of course its own preferred taste; but naturally, you must taste each for yourself to come to your own conclusion - and that’s why we’re here! With so many distilleries within easy reach of Edinburgh’s beautiful city centre, we are able to design a bespoke tour to suit your preferences by organising fully guided tours, private transport, sight seeing and of course stoping for lunch in one of Scotlands many historical towns where of course you can try a dram from any of our well known whisky regions. Our private whisky tours are all about the whisky, and there’s no room for stress! Whatever time frame is best for you, our team is able to organise every element of your perfect tasting adventure.   Available for you to choose from and all within a short drive from Edinburgh are, Single Day trips to:
