Edinburgh has not been awarded the Unesco World Heritage Site for architecture and literature for nothing, the beautiful old city has always inspired writers… Harry Potter is no exception.
This tour is a must for fans of the book and film series. We will introduce you to the places in the city that inspired JK Rowling. The Edinburgian-by-choice artist can still be seen in the city today. We take a look behind the scenes and relive the creation of the Harry Potter myth.
This one and a half hour tour is on foot, sturdy shoes are recommended, as the old town is of course very cobblestone. The tour is suitable for all levels of fitness and all ages.
On this city tour we will show you the following sights: Edinburgh Castle (the castle), the Royal Mile (the main street of the Old Town – with JK Rowling’s handprints), Blackfriars Kirkyard (cemetery with the names of the Harry Potter figures), Heriot School (inspiration for Hogwarts), Winkelgasse and more.
Meeting point is at the booked time in front of the entrance to the Signet Library on the square in front of St. Giles Cathedral (West Parliament Square).
